Congratulations! Weisheng Paper Products has once again been awarded the Annual Green Procurement Ex

Initiating government-led green procurement actions and further promoting national green consumption have become the mainstream trend in international green consumerism. To commend the support and efforts from all sectors towards green procurement, the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) conducts the annual "Green Procurement Excellence Award" ceremony. Certificates are presented by the EPA director to recognize outstanding government agencies in green procurement, private enterprises, and organizations with green procurement amounts exceeding NT$30 million, as well as units demonstrating exceptional performance in green procurement.

In response to the 21st-century trend of green consumption, the "Government Green Procurement Program" was promulgated by the Executive Yuan in July 2001. To implement and assess the effectiveness of green practices, the "Operating Guidelines for Performance Assessment of Government Green Procurement" were established. The EPA, through the "Government Green Procurement Assessment Team," assesses various government agencies based on evaluation indicators and weights. The program provides clear instructions on green procurement target ratios and scope. In 2007, the EPA raised the procurement target ratio to 83% to enhance the effectiveness of government green procurement.

The EPA emphasizes that government-led green procurement contributes to the development of eco-friendly products. In recent years, this initiative has expanded from government agencies to private enterprises, injecting vitality into environmentally related industries. By implementing green procurement in government agencies, private enterprises, and organizations, the market for green consumption is invigorated, enhancing the green competitiveness of industries internationally. This transformation also harnesses the power of environmental protection, creating a high-quality green home.
